Alison’s work is gentle and robust, insightful and collaborative.  She listens deeply, and responds with respect, love, integrity, curiosity and a lively imagination, meeting me on an integration of physical, emotional or energetic levels. She makes it possible to see the emotional and physical landscape of old pain and to find possibility beyond familiar habits and coping strategies. She has made the journey into the wilderness of healing less lonely.

I am grateful I was led to Alison’s presence.  Her specific blend of skills is entirely unique.  I’ve had so much body work in my life, and mind and soul therapies as well: none come close to matching what Alison does for me.  She has helped me identify and release tensions and traumas in my body – both new and old.  This concept of traumas that are “kept” in the body– many since childhood – has been pivotal in my recovery process.

When Alison leads me in a guided awareness exercise, her calm, soothing voice takes me into visual imagery that expresses what my body and soul are feeling.  Connections are made and healing occurs more directly and much faster than in any talk therapy I’ve ever experienced. She is filled with insights and metaphors that have supported and guided my healing journey.  She taught me to face my fear of cancer by moving through the fear, instead of being gripped by it. When my feelings are too much to face on my own, Alison helps me untangle them.  Even when I’m not in her presence, Alison is with me every day.

I became a client of Alison’s as I heard she was a great massage therapist.
